Broadly broad beans

Just podded all these beauties! Should've started earlier in the evening, it takes longer than you think.

  2. Aw! It wasn't too bad last night, I split them apart a bean or two from the end and then managed to wedge my thumb or finger in mostly to split lengthways without the need for nails :)

  3. Me neither-or peas. I find it helps to have someone to talk to when I do it so the time passes quicker lol.....love eating them though so it's worth it

  4. Ha ha, yes that's true. We had fried broad beans on toast for lunch today (adapted from a Hugh FW recipe I found on t'internet). Going to try baked spicy crunchy broad bean snacks later too. I think they will probably keep in a jar so don't have to feel too broad-beaned out all in one go. Thanks for dropping in Mrs Thrift!
