I'll find out in a couple of days how far the rot has spread, when I'm next on the plot.<br />Ooh that's a good point about the radish seed pods...if some have gone a bit 'over' I could leave them to produce pods instead, keeping an eye out for any parsnip seedlings that might get affected by larger radish plants.Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-87203806889411172652017-05-18T21:12:24.165+01:002017-05-18T21:12:24.165+01:00Thanks Dave. If I was clever I'd have sown some more to follow on (though I've found that later sowings don't do so well for me anyway).Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-13310735988528362632017-05-18T21:09:13.814+01:002017-05-18T21:09:13.814+01:00Thanks Kathy, the iPad takes quite a good pic if t...Thanks Kathy, the iPad takes quite a good pic if the light is good!Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-64620580153229274192017-05-18T21:08:37.106+01:002017-05-18T21:08:37.106+01:00Hi Michelle, cool, great radishes. The parsnip seedlings are so tiny at that stage (if germinated at all), so doesn't seem to affect them. You could always intercrop instead (sow row of radish in between a row of parsnips), which wouldn't disturb the parsnips at all.Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-65276979858072812442017-05-18T21:01:04.478+01:002017-05-18T21:01:04.478+01:00Thanks Lisa and Rob, chard usually does pretty wel...Thanks Lisa and Rob, chard usually does pretty well on the allotment and doesn't need too much looking after either, which is a bonus.Lou@RainbowChardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01435858511588433002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-31104902709199263512017-05-17T02:59:48.290+01:002017-05-17T02:59:48.290+01:00That is really too bad about your garlic, at least...That is really too bad about your garlic, at least there's lots of time to get something else in their place. Radishes are such pretty things and you got such a lovely harvest of them. Some varieties have green seed pods that are really tasty in stir-fries.Phuonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07658691564062044986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6665001536585846125.post-79479772683976719822017-05-16T19:25:50.455+01:002017-05-16T19:25:50.455+01:00Those are beautiful radishes!
